Value Your Commentators and Readers

Link LoveThe best blogging practice I want other bloggers to do also is giving value to their readers and commentators. Your blog visitors is just the same as the visitors in your house. How do you treat your visitors? Do you just allow them to come in to your house without entertaining them and even not serving them a glass of water or cola? Why not show them some love and you’ll see how they will be happy.

Value your visitors if you want them to return to your blog and leave some comments again and again. There are so many ways on how you can value or give some love to them.

Top Commentator

I think this is the most popular way on how to give love on your reader and commentators. Our friend from The WWW Blog has updated his list of blogs with top commentator plugin. How does this works? Usually, the top commentator is in sidebar and it has no nofollow tag. The commentator that has the most number of comments on your blog will be listed on the list and will be given a link love. I’m actually also giving incentive to my top commentator or comment king.

Remove NoFollow Tag

This blog has no nofollow tag in comment links. If commentators add their website/blog in their comment on any of your post, you give them a link love. Our friend Rajaie has just released a list of dofollow blogs that has PageRank.

CommentLuv

Just few weeks ago, I have installed the CommentLuv plugin. This is also a good way on how to give love to your commentators. Once they comment on your blog and indicate their blog in the comment form, the plugin will try to get their last post and will be placed under their comment.

Blog Contest

Everyone love contest. Who’s not? Everyone has a big chance to win on every blog contest. Some blog contests usually only requires to subscribe on their feed via email and that’s it and you are now entered in the contest. Yan of ThouShallBlog is currently running a big contest in his blog. There

are lots of prizes to grab and joining is easy. In this way, you make your readers happy and you help them promote their blog as well and have some capital if ever they will win.

Link Love

I started posting Sunday Link Love last Sunday. I used to give link love from the blogs I love and from my regular visitors. Link Love is the best way on how to value commentators, readers, visitors, and other bloggers. Stay tune for more Sunday Link Love from this blog.

These are just some ways that I know on how to give value to your commentators and visitors. I believe that visitors will more likely return back on a blog if they are well entertained and given some love or good exchange. Likewise, they will also love to comment if they will receive a good return. Honestly, I like more to comment on blogs which has top commentator plugin and has no nofollow tag on comment links.

If you have anymore ideas on how to give value to your commentators and visitors, plese so share it with us by commenting below.

How about occasional ‘freebies’ or giveaways…not a contest or a ’subscription required’ thing. A prize to the first person to spot something you have placed within a Blog Post, or to a ‘randomly’ chosen comment for example. Helps to get readers to come back to your site.

  6. @iBabel: That’s exactly what the owner of this site is doing right now, just in case you aren’t in the know.

Yeah, I’m giving free 125×125 sidebar ad and $10 for the comment king.

  8. At present I’m not writing any blog. But soon I’ll be doing the job very seriously. Thanks a lot for installing commentLuv plugin.

    Hey,
Just a tip. Edit your top commentor code so it says under the title what the winner wins (so people can easily know that they should enter).
If you don’t know how to do this then I can do it for you. Just send me an email
