Urduja: Pinoy Animated Movie
Urduja is a fully Pinoy-made animation movie that is now showing in the big screen. I haven’t seen yet the movie but I really salute those worldclass pinoy animators. This is my first time to encounter a Pinoy animation. Is there any pinoy animation movie before? I don’t think there is.
Urduja is produced by Tony Tuviera’s APT Entertainment with Vic Sotto. The voices you will here from this animation were from Regine Velasquez (Princess Urduja), Eddie Garcia (Lakanpati), Johnny Delgado (Wang), Allan K (Tarsir), Michael V. (Kukut), and Cesar Montano (Lim Hang).

Who/What is Urduja?
Urduja (ca. 1350 C.E - 1400 C.E.), is a legendary warrior-princess who is recognized as a heroine in Pangasinan. The name Urduja appears to be Sanskrit in origin, and a variation of the Sanskrit name “Urja,” meaning “Breath.” A historical reference to Urduja can be found in the travel account of Ibn Battuta (1304 - possibly 1368 or 1377 C.E.), a Muslim traveler from Morocco. may mga nagsasabing hindi yang urduja ang first pinoy animated full-length film. nauna daw yung ADARNA nga ba yun. may mga awards pa nga daw yung adarna na yun eh. hindi ko alam yung full details pero hearsay lang hehe. may basehan naman siguro sila bat sinasabi nilang yung adarna ang nauna.
Ay, di ko ata alam ung ADARNA na un. HEHE. pero kahit sino pa man ang nauna. ayos din. at least kahit papano may ability rin pa la ang pinoy makagawa ng mga ganitong movie.
