This is just an answer to the questions of Ajith of DollarShower. He said that he would be grateful if some more experienced bloggers answer the following queries. Though I am not an experienced blogger, I’ll try to answer the questions..
When did I start monetizing my blog?
Some bloggers suggest that don’t start monetizing your blog right after launching. I didn’t knew this before so I start monetizing my blog right after I have installed the theme 
I use different monetizing program such as Google Adsense, Bidvertiser, and WidgetBucks. I started to monetize my blog immediately but I did not make money that much. It took me some time to make some revenue from the said programs.
How long did it take to hit $100/month from my blog?
It is just this April 2008 I started to hit $100/month. There are months that I make $100/month but there are some month that I make less than $100/month. So from November 2008-March 2008, I’m making money but not that much. Oops.. Actually $100/month is not only for this blog, it is for all of my sites.
What Special tips or strategies that worked for me to maximize the earnings
The secret is SEO. I just do search engine optimization here in my blog and that’s it. I used to blog high traffic keywords and I make money from it via Adsense. Just be smart also in placing ads and keywords. Don’t fill your blog with ads because readers might get irritated and leave your blog and will never come back.

Your earning pattern resembles mine I guess. I hit $100 for a couple of months but also had peanuts in other months

Well I started monetizing mine when I had 150 uniques a day… Well for me its not SEO which could benefit you, its pay per click… well if you have the moolah to spend in PPC, it grows your traffic and readership in no time..

SEO is better because you get quality visitors form search engine. And they will click on your google ads

Well I started monetizing mine when I had 150 uniques a day…??? But now,I have only 50 uniques a day,I have only earned $20 this month. Bad news, PPP has cut my blog in their markplace!
@webaboutmoney: Ouch. 50 uniques/day. What happen? Don’t stop promoting and commenting on other blogs so you could have more traffic and make more money.

good point. ads are great for authors, but too many intrusive ads can be a bit annoying for a reader to have to wade through.

I run two blogs. One gets 65,000 unique visitors a month and the other around 100,000 visitors. The one with 65k uniques makes around $2,300 a month. The 100k uniques site makes about the same because its niche (entertainment) sucks. I do not try hard to monetize the blogs because I have other projects that bring in more money.
Your sites have trouble making money because you write about making money online which is the worst. niche to blog about.
Why would you write about making money online when you barely make $100 a month?

but when i look at your message it seems that you are making us to lose our hope T.T… Well.. there are still hope! I am still young and i know i can do that too.. actually 65k is just the 5% of the people in the internet
