iPhone 3G is So Expensive in the Philippines

I dream for an iPhone 3G.For a being like me who loves music, internet and mobile phone, I think iPhone is the best gadget for me. In iPhone 3G, I can browse the web faster, play music, and even send SMS to my friends.
How I wish I have $875 so I could buy one for my self. Why $875? iPhone 3G is only $199 (P8,557). Simple, iPhone 3G is so expensive here in the Philippines and I don’t know the reason why. Let say that the Peso-Dollar exchange is $1=P43. Globe Telecom announced that iPhone 3G (8gb) Prepaid Kit will cost P37,599 or $875. OMG That’s so much of what Apple announced.
I predict after some months (anyway, iPhone will be on sale here in the Philippines on August 22, 2008), the price will be half the real price or even lower. That’s how the price of gadgets here in the Philippines change because of high demand. Filipinos really love gadgets even if we don’t have much money.
So to have this cool gadget, I need to work more online and build more websites to make larger profit. I’m still thinking of what to do. OMG. I really like iPhone. Who’s not? I know you want it also or if you have it already I know you are enjoying it.

Nah, the iPhone failed to impress me one bit, but maybe that’s just because I’m a huge Nokia fan!

I think iphone are not cheap.
I heard from my friends that iPhone is not so good as it might be.
Don’t know is it true… but I prefer to use good old usual mobile phones

The iPhone isn’t as stunning when you’ve got it already. I mean, it’s hard to send SMS and it doesn’t have very unique features. The only nice thing about it is that it’s not as bulky as N95, which has better stuff IMO.

ya i agree tremendously. iphone’s price is prohibitive, restrictive and bared greedy companies their monopolistic nature.
i’m not buying a 3G… i’ve already bought 2 of the original iphones.. 1 when they first came out and another when I lost the first one while drinking…
